Jakarta. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) is holding roadshows around Greater Jakarta's shopping centers in a move to promote its latest superapp, BYOND.

Over 55 percent of BYOND by BSI users are young people, and so the Sharia bank decided to tour Greater Jakarta's shopping malls on Nov. 11-24. BSI will hold the financial literacy campaigns in South Jakarta's FX, Bekasi's Summaerecon Mall, Kemang Village, Pondok Indah Mall, and Margo City Depok. It will then go to Living World Cibubur and Kota Kasablanka starting from Nov. 25 to Dec. 8.

"BYOND by BSI's users are mostly young people and millennials. That's why we continue to promote our program through our ecosystem of existing and new customers. We also partner with various parties to accelerate the BYOND by BSI adoption," Saut Parulian Saragih, the SEVP for digital banking, was quoted as saying in a press statement.

As many as 97 percent of BSI customers have shifted to e-channel transactions, including BYOND by BSI, BSI Net, BSI ATM, and BSI Agen across the archipelago. BYOND by BSI also enables the bank to respond to the increasingly diverse needs of its customers.

"BYOND by BSI is a superapp that can facilitate financial, social, and spiritual services ranging from opening accounts to investment services to alms services. This aligns with our tagline of #SemuaJadiMudah ('Everything is Now Easy'), BYOND by BSI has made everything easy for anyone to do anytime and anywhere," Saut said.

BYOND by BSI Promos

There are currently tons of promos for BYOND by BSI users. New customers can get a cashback of up to Rp 125,000 and free BI Fast transactions. Existing customers who switch to the BYOND application also get additional benefits if they make transactions using QRIS BYOND by BSI, such as cashback of up to 50 percent maximum of Rp 50,000 at selected merchants such as Kopi Kenangan, Hokben, Chatime, Kenangan Signature, J.Co, Chigo & flip, Mako, Sour Sally, Bolo King, and others.

There is also a Friday Blessing cashback promo for water, internet cable TV, and insurance payments. BSI also provides an SKS Promo (Senin-Kamis Seru Bersama BYOND by BSI), namely promos available on Monday-Thursday. They are cashback for e-money and e-wallet GoPay/OVO top-ups, among others. They also apply for data packages (Telkomsel/Indosat/XL/Tri) and phone credits (Telkomsel/Indosat/XL/Tri/Smartfren). 

BSI will also set up mini booths to promote BYOND at several malls in the Greater Jakarta area. The bank will also expand the roadshow to Aceh, Medan, Palembang, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, and Makassar next year.
