BSI Holds Fun Run to Encourage Financial Freedom
Jakarta. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) recently held a fun run event to mark its 5th anniversary.
The celebration centered on the BSI Gold GBK 2 bus stop in Jakarta. The event had turned into a gathering point for thousands of runners and the public enjoying Car Free Day (CFD). The regional offices also held similar events near their local CFD areas.
BSI not only encourages the public to maintain physical health through running but also to build long-term financial health through gold investment.
"In 2026, the spirit of 'Golden Steps for the Golden Generation' has become the new breath of BSI. We see an urgent need for a financial ecosystem capable of preserving the value of people's assets amidst economic dynamics. Therefore, through this event, we encourage the public to take small steps with big impacts: healthy steps through exercise, and stable steps through investing in gold," BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo said.
As the first sharia bullion bank in Indonesia, BSI is using this 5th anniversary to educate the public about the importance of gold as a sustainable hedging instrument. At the BSI Gold Bus Stop in GBK 2 and various regional booths, BSI offered in-person gold investment consultation services. The booths also introduced the participants to BSI's key products, such as Gold Installments and Gold Savings, which are designed to be integrated, safe, easy, and compliant with Sharia principles.
"We are building an ecosystem where gold is not just a commodity, but a long-term narrative for the economic independence of the people. This is a solution for people who want to prepare for the future, from education to Hajj funds," Anggoro said.
The event also highlighted the spiritual and social aspects. With the holy month of Ramadan 2026 approaching, BSI encourages the public to prepare, including planning their Hajj pilgrimage early through the Hajj Savings program.
BSI also introduced comprehensive features in the BYOND by BSI app, which serves as a "financial, social, and spiritual friend" all in one hand. As a form of concern, BSI, in collaboration with BSI Maslahat, launched a donation service for disaster victims in Sumatra, encouraging CFD participants not only to exercise but also to share with others.
