Jakarta. Entering its 22nd year, BRI JF3 Fashion Festival 2026 is strengthening its position as one of Indonesia’s pioneering fashion show platforms. First introduced by Summarecon in 2004, JF3 has continued to evolve from a fashion event into an ecosystem connecting designers, brands, creative players, media, communities, retailers and international networks.

The festival’s long journey reflects JF3’s consistency in creating a platform and wider opportunities for fashion industry players. As the industry increasingly demands strong identity, quality execution, market understanding and business readiness, JF3 serves as a platform that brings together creativity, collaboration and access for both local and international designers.

This year, under the theme “Recrafted: Shaping the Future,” BRI JF3 Fashion Festival 2026 emphasizes that the future of fashion is shaped by cultural exchange, appreciation for craftsmanship, and the ability to connect creative potential with the right systems. This spirit is reflected in a series of international collaborations bringing Indonesian designers together with partners from various countries.

Thresia Mareta, Advisor of JF3 Fashion Festival, said, “Indonesia has enormous wealth in craftsmanship, materials, knowledge and cultural identity. However, all of that is not enough if it remains merely potential. It needs to be developed, directed and connected with the right systems. At JF3 Fashion Festival, we want to create space for designers not only to showcase their work, but also to grow, exchange ideas and find opportunities to move further.”

The strength of BRI JF3 Fashion Festival is also rooted in its foundation from the beginning. Initiated by Summarecon, the festival has an advantage rarely found among other fashion platforms in Indonesia: direct access to retail centers. This enables JF3 to build a more complete ecosystem, from creative presentation on the runway to direct access to markets and consumers.

Soegianto Nagaria, Chairman of JF3 Fashion Festival, said, “Through JF3 Fashion Festival, we connect the creative process with real market access, from the runway directly to consumers. A strong fashion industry does not grow from a single event but from a consistently built ecosystem. We believe creativity supported by the right infrastructure will generate a much greater economic impact.”

Cross-Border Collaborations Showcase Boundless Creativity
As part of its efforts to create space for cross-border creative exchange, BRI JF3 Fashion Festival 2026 features a number of international collaborations.

TAREET X DENIMITUP
One of this year’s international collaborations brings together TAREET, a French brand founded by Etienne, and DENIMITUP, a participant in the PINTU accelerator program. TAREET is known for work worn by artists including Playboi Carti and ENHYPEN, as well as for designing an Olympique de Marseille jersey in collaboration with PUMA.

At BRI JF3 Fashion Festival 2026, the two brands present a show titled “Fas Delman,” a collection that translates the cultural meeting point between Indonesia and Senegal into contemporary streetwear through modern silhouettes and design approaches. The collaboration demonstrates how Indonesian creative work can enter a broader global creative conversation through the exchange of ideas, techniques and design perspectives.

PINTU Residency: Indonesia-France Creative Dialogue
For its second edition, PINTU Residency brings together two Indonesian designers and two French designers in a four-month residency program. The program is curated by Thresia Mareta, Pascaline Wilhelm and Carol Meyer.

Running from April to July 2026, the participants conducted joint research, explored traditional textile techniques, worked directly with artisan communities and developed collections through an exchange of knowledge and cultures.

In Lombok, French designer Mickaël Nana collaborated with Indonesian designer Beatrice Angelica to develop the GARUDA collection. The collection combines Western tailoring with Lombok weaving and songket, offering a contemporary interpretation of the Garuda as a symbol of strength, freedom and identity.

Meanwhile, in Mojokerto, Lisa Rayar and Gabriel Marcella developed the AU LARGE collection. Inspired by French maritime traditions and the culture of Java’s coastal communities, the collection brings together batik, tailoring structures and uniform references in contemporary silhouettes. The results of both collaborations will be presented for the first time at JF3 Fashion Festival 2026.

Beyond producing collections, PINTU Residency creates a space for dialogue among designers, artisans, materials, techniques and different cultural backgrounds. The collaboration aims to create a creative process that is equal, relevant and capable of delivering long-term value for all parties involved.

LAKON Indonesia Supported by EUNEUN
JF3 2026 is also expanding its creative ties with South Korea through a presentation by LAKON Indonesia, supported by euneun, a South Korean bag brand. In the collection titled “Harsa,” euneun bags serve as complementary pieces that strengthen the overall character of the runway looks.

Under the direction of Creative Director Irsan, LAKON Indonesia’s Harsa collection features 36 looks that highlight the richness of Indonesian batik and hand embroidery through a modern design language, exploring proportions, construction, and materials, including poplin cotton, voile cotton, duchess satin, and organza. The collection is a tribute by LAKON Indonesia to the artisans, batik makers, embroiderers, tailors and all the hands involved in its creation.

The presence of euneun founder, as well as South Korean idol and actress Hahm Eun-jung, further symbolizes the growing space for collaboration between Indonesia’s and South Korea’s fashion industries.

These collaborations demonstrate that JF3 is no longer merely a platform for showcasing fashion, but also a space connecting talent, knowledge, networks and market opportunities. Through international partnerships, JF3 encourages Indonesian designers and brands not only to take the local stage, but also to build the readiness needed to engage with global standards and ecosystems.

With the theme “Recrafted: Shaping the Future,” BRI JF3 Fashion Festival 2026 reaffirms its commitment to shaping the future of Indonesian fashion through creativity, craftsmanship, talent development and cross-border collaboration. From a fashion show platform pioneered more than two decades ago, JF3 continues to evolve into an ecosystem that creates pathways for Indonesian fashion to grow stronger, remain relevant and become more competitive.
