BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, SRC Strengthen Partnership
Jakarta. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and SRC Indonesia Sembilan (SRCIS) recently celebrated over one year of partnership.
Under this partnership, people can sign up for the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, the workers’ social security program, at SRC stores spread across Indonesia. People can also make payments in these stores. Recently, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and SRCIS held a gathering that brought together 80 SRC stores in Cirebon, Indramayu, and Tegal. The event also saw the handover of compensation money worth Rp 338 million for the death or accidents of 3 SRC store owners.
“SRC has helped us expand our reach to Indonesian employees. Aside from SRC shopkeepers as the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants, but they help us reach out to the workers in the region,” I Putu Wiradana, the deputy director for BPJS Kesehatan special program participation, was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.
To date, BPJS Kesehatan has given Rp 1.4 billion in compensation money for 65 claims under the partnership with the SRC. Wiradana said: “Workers have the right to work comfortably, harder, and without any worries. The partnership with SRC brings benefits not just to the workers, but also their family members and children.”
SRC representative Romulus said that the partnership with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan became part of its commitment to help Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“We are also helping the government by helping pave the way for a more equitable access to employment social security,” Romulus said.
To date, there are 22,685 workers who have registered as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants through the “Pojok Untung” feature in the AYO Toko by SRC application as part of the AYO by SRC digital ecosystem. This enables shop owners to develop their business by becoming agents or partners.
Romulus hopes that in the future more SRC Shop owners will be able to take advantage of this collaboration to provide increased service to their consumers, while also getting the opportunity to earn additional income.
