Beritasatu, Sinar Mas Land Combine Golf and Philanthropy in Bogor Tournament
Cibinong. Beritasatu and Sinar Mas Land on Sunday hosted a charity golf tournament that brought together business leaders, government officials and media representatives to raise funds for orphanages and other vulnerable communities.
Held at Rancamaya Golf & Country Club in Bogor, the Satu Golf Sinar Mas Land for Charity tournament carried the theme "More Than Just a Game, It's a Swing for Humanity," highlighting the role of sport as a platform for philanthropy and collaboration.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to two charitable foundations that support orphans, widows and people in need.
Apreyvita Wulansari, deputy president director of B-Universe Media Holdings, Beritasatu's parent company, said the tournament reflected the company's commitment to creating a positive social impact.
"Through golf, we want to bring stakeholders together in the spirit of collaboration while raising support for those in need. We believe every swing on the course can make a meaningful contribution to humanity," she said.
The tournament was attended by several prominent figures, including Banten Governor Andra Soni, former Industry Minister Saleh Husin, and Timothy Ivan Triyono, deputy at the Government Communication Agency.
Panji Himawan, vice president for Corporate Affairs and Operation Support at Sinar Mas Land, said the event demonstrated that sport can serve not only as a networking platform but also as a vehicle for giving back to society.
"We want to show that sport is also an expression of social responsibility. We hope this initiative will make a tangible difference for those who need it most," he said.
Beritasatu.com Editor-in-Chief Syukri Rahmatullah said the tournament was designed to strengthen relationships among stakeholders while generating a lasting social impact.
"The proceeds from this event will be donated to two charitable foundations supporting orphans, widows and communities in need. Golf is not only about sport, business networking or friendship -- it is also about caring for others," he said.
Representing the government, Timothy Ivan Triyono praised the collaboration between Beritasatu and Sinar Mas Land, saying initiatives involving businesses, the media and the wider community play an important role in supporting human capital development.
He said the charity event was in line with President Prabowo Subianto's emphasis on education and human resource development.
