Astranauts 2025 Announces Six Winners, Drives Acceleration of the National Digital Ecosystem
Jakarta. Astra reiterated its commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s technology and digital ecosystem through the Astranauts 2025 program. In its fourth year, Astranauts officially announced six top winners recognized for delivering impactful innovations in addressing strategic cross-industry challenges in Indonesia.
The Demo Day & Awarding Astranauts 2025 event, held on Wednesday, July 16, was attended by Astra Vice President Director Rudy, Astra Director Santosa, judges, and mentors. In his remarks, Rudy said that Astranauts is a tangible form of Astra’s commitment to empowering the younger generation to be ready for the digital economy.
“Astra remains committed to encouraging young Indonesians to innovate and strengthen the national digital economy. Through Astranauts, we bring together ideas, technology, and talent to enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness in line with the acceleration of national digital transformation,” he said.
Bridging Ideas and Industry Needs
Entering its fourth year, Astranauts 2025 has become increasingly relevant to industry needs. The competition covers eight strategic topics, including Automotive, Financial Services, Heavy Equipment & Mining, Agribusiness, Infrastructure and Logistics, Information Technology, Property, and Healthcare. A special Business Challenge category was also introduced to address real-world challenges faced by Astra Group businesses.
Paul Soegianto, Chief of Group Digital Strategy at Astra, explained what made this year’s Astranauts unique:
“We prepared two tracks: the Startup Track and the Student Track. For students, we provided real-life problems that Astra faces. We want the fresh ideas of the younger generation to directly respond to real-world challenges,” he said.
For the Startup Track, Astra also encourages direct collaboration with its business lines.
“We have seven business pillars, and we’re opening those to startups, including newer pillars like healthcare. The startups we select must have either direct or indirect potential ties with Astra’s business ecosystem. Our goal is to create a healthy and sustainable startup ecosystem,” Paul emphasized.
From 2,186 applicants, 20 top finalists were selected to present their solutions before a panel of judges, who rigorously tested the validity of the ideas and their readiness for real-world implementation.
Local Solutions, Global Impact
This year’s winners proved that Indonesian innovations can compete with international products. For example, BETA-UAS, the first-place winner of the Startup Track, designed and manufactured locally-made unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) at a more affordable cost and with a flexible usage model.
“Drones are already used across nearly every industry, even in media. But most are still imported and expensive. As a local manufacturer, we can offer more affordable prices, even monthly rental options. We’ve also integrated AI and computer vision technologies for asset management,” explained Indra, CEO and Founder of BETA-UAS.
Here are the six winners of Astranauts 2025:
Startup Track:
-
1st Place: BETA-UAS – Specializes in designing and manufacturing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for mapping, monitoring, and inspections.
-
2nd Place: Molca Teknologi – AI and immersive XR-based digital twin solutions to accelerate industrial transformation.
-
3rd Place: Tax Point – An integrated tax service solution offering automated compliance through RegTech to streamline tax processes.
