Jakarta. The 2026 Indonesia Fashion Aesthetics, or IFA, on Tuesday featured countless stunning pieces.

The fashion show embraced the theme "Sophisticated". As the name suggests, the pieces shown on the runway radiated elegance.

Founder & CEO of Indonesia Fashion Aesthetics, Dian Komalasary, stated that IFA is no longer just an industry gathering. The event has turned into a primary reference and benchmark for lifestyle, fashion, and high-end aesthetics enthusiasts who prioritize quality, exclusivity, and prestige.

"We are committed to improving the implementation of IFA from year to year, both in terms of the quality of the event and the number of participants," Dian said.

Deputy Trade Minister Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri views IFA as a strategic platform that unites creativity, culture, and trade in a mutually reinforcing ecosystem.

"We view IFA 2026 as part of an effort to build an integrated national fashion ecosystem, from upstream to downstream, from creativity to transactions. Through this event, we hope to foster new collaborations, new trade contracts, and strengthen Indonesia's image as a source of creative, distinctive, and globally relevant fashion, including in the modest fashion and fashion segments based on traditional Indonesian textiles," she said.

The 2026 IFA aims to introduce and enhance the competitiveness of products and services from the fashion and beauty-aesthetics industries. This event has also opened up collaboration across creative sectors, particularly in fashion, modest fashion, and aesthetics, to create business opportunities and partnerships at the national and international levels. 

The fashion show segment had three sequences, with the first one featuring Itang Yunasz x Torenda, Elva Fauqo, Lia Afif, Widhi Budimulia, Sabiluna, Okky Walla x Alben Ayub Andal, Lina Sukijo, Amapola, and Benang Jarum.

The second sequence showed collections from ViviZubedi, Riris Ghofir, Lia Soraya, Fera Signature by Fera Ali, The She by Daisy Handayani, Gita Orlin, Rizman Ruzaini, Mazulabel, as well as Ayu Dyah Andari.

Last but not least were designs by Denny Wirawan, Eridani, Masya, Arabelle, Motif Hawa, KursienKarzai, and Buttonscarves.

A nostalgic atmosphere also colored the IFA 2026 runway with the return of legendary models from the 90s, including Okky Asokawati wearing Denny Wirawan's designs and Elmo with Itang Yunasz. 

The event also honored the industry players who had contributed to the national fashion and beauty industry with the 2026 IFA AWARD. The awardees were as follows:

• Sebastian Gunawan (The Most Inspiring Couture Designer);

• Ayu Dyah Andari (The Most Inspiring Modest Fashion Designer);

• ViviZubedi (The Most Fashion Figure);

• Tasya Farasya (The Most Beautiful Influencer);

• Bubah Alfian (The Most Inspiring Make Up Artist Indonesia);

• Agnes Sutanto (The Most Inspiring High-End Jewelry Designer);

• JEEVES (Finest Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services);

• dr. Mieristika Rooselani (The Most Aesthetic Medical Expert)

The 2026 IFA also returned with an exhibition for visitors to shop for their Ramadan fashion needs.
