Jakarta. Actress Sandra Dewi was questioned at the Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday as prosecutors sought to seize assets belonging to her husband, Harvey Moeis, who has been detained on alleged corruption charges.

This was her second interrogation since Harvey's arrest in March. The ongoing investigation involves an alleged corruption scandal related to illegal mining activities, which prosecutors claim have caused billions of dollars in financial losses and environmental damages to the state.

Since Harvey's arrest on March 27, prosecutors have been actively attempting to seize his assets.

In an apparent attempt to protect her own assets, Sandra’s attorneys have emphasized that the couple had a prenuptial agreement separating their assets. They also noted that Sandra is financially independent as a prominent actress and model, earning substantial revenues from endorsements and other legal sources.

This claim complicates prosecutors’ efforts to recover Harvey’s assets, as they must ensure that any seizures do not affect Sandra’s personal assets.

“The interrogation aims to further identify her assets,” AGO spokesman Ketut Sumedana said.

Sandra’s attorney, Harris Arthur Hedar, said he was not allowed to accompany his client during the interrogation.

“Investigators likely want to clarify which assets fully belong to Sandra and which ones belong to Harvey,” the lawyer said.

Harvey is accused of serving as a middleman to facilitate illegal mining operations for the private firm Refined Bangka Tin (RBT) on mining areas owned by state-owned tin miner Timah.

The Attorney General’s Office has identified at least 16 suspects following the interrogation of nearly 150 witnesses in connection with the graft scandal.

The majority of the suspects are executives from private mining companies, including RBT. Additionally, a former CEO of Timah, identified by the initials MRPT, and three other executives from the state company are also among the suspects.

Harvey's prominence on the list of suspects is amplified by his marriage to actress Sandra Dewi and the couple’s opulent lifestyle.

Last year, Sandra shared an Instagram post featuring a video showcasing a Rolls Royce car gifted to her by Harvey for her 40th birthday. She also frequently shares photos of the interior of the couple’s private jet.

Harvey serves as the chief commissioner of the coal mining firm Multi Harapan Utama in East Kalimantan and holds shares in numerous companies, primarily in the mining sector.
