Jakarta. The documentary film Rossa: All Access to Rossa – 25 Shining Years has successfully expanded beyond Indonesia, screening in 110 cinemas across Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei as of Oct.18. This milestone marks the first time an Indonesian singer's documentary has been shown internationally.

Rossa expressed her pride in the film, hoping it would inspire others and elevate Indonesia’s standing on the global stage.

“Praise God, after receiving positive responses from film critics and the public in Indonesia, I can now bring this film to Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. Since it's a documentary, I didn’t have to act; I just had to be myself,” Rossa said in South Jakarta on Tuesday.

She reiterated her pride in being the first Indonesian singer to have a documentary screened internationally. “I’m proud that this film is the first documentary by an Indonesian singer to be shown abroad. I hope it inspires many people and brings more recognition to Indonesian artists globally,” she added.

At the gala premiere, several celebrities and officials from Malaysia attended, including renowned Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza. Siti was moved by the portrayal of Rossa’s career challenges and expressed her hope that Rossa will continue to create music for many years to come.

“It’s wonderful to see this documentary about Ocha (Rossa’s nickname). Becoming a legend like her is no easy task, and she’s faced many challenges. I hope she keeps creating for another 50 years or more,” Siti concluded.
