Jakarta. The South Jakarta Kebayoran Lama Police Sector is currently investigating the case of a young woman who tragically took her own life by hanging herself and broadcasted it live on Instagram on Sunday.

Police, who have conducted on-site investigations, found no signs of violence on the body of the victim identified as FM, 31. Additionally, they have questioned several witnesses from the family, as well as the victim's boyfriend.

"So far, from the results of the investigation, no criminal acts committed by others have been found. Based on our analysis, it appears to be a case of pure suicide," said Suwarno, the Criminal Investigation Unit Chief of the Kebayoran Lama Police Sector, on Wednesday.

Police have also gathered information from the victim's family. It was revealed that FM had attempted to end her life and harm herself on several occasions.

Investigators have also sought testimony from the victim's boyfriend, who was accused of being the reason FM took her own life. However, according to the information obtained, the victim's boyfriend did not know her intentions.

Suwarno said that FM's boyfriend was not proven to have committed any violence before her suicide.

"We have investigated and questioned her boyfriend. He did not commit any violence against the victim," said Suwarno.

The victim's boyfriend was reportedly immediately questioned shortly after FM was found dead by hanging at her residence in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta.

However, Suwarno assured that they will continue to investigate the reasons behind FM's decision to end her life.

"The family has accepted that she indeed committed suicide," he added.

FM was found dead by hanging while live-streaming on her private Instagram account. She was discovered lifeless by her family on Sunday in the bathroom.
