Detroit/Cleveland. The Detroit Pistons surged into the second round of the NBA playoffs after a dominant 116-94 Game 7 victory over the Orlando Magic on Sunday, marking their first postseason series win in 18 years.

Cade Cunningham led the charge with 32 points and 12 assists, while Tobias Harris added 30 points in a commanding performance at home. Cunningham averaged 32.4 points over the series as Detroit became just the 15th team in NBA history to rally from a 3-1 deficit.

The Pistons seized control early, closing the first half on a strong run before extending their lead in the third quarter. Jalen Duren contributed a key double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds, helping Detroit pull away for good.

Paolo Banchero scored 38 points for Orlando, but the Magic struggled offensively, failing to keep pace in the decisive stretches.

Detroit will next host the Cleveland Cavaliers, who secured their own Game 7 win with a 114-102 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

In Cleveland, Jarrett Allen delivered a standout performance with 22 points and 19 rebounds, while Donovan Mitchell also scored 22. James Harden added 18 points as the Cavaliers overturned a first-half deficit with a decisive second- and third-quarter surge.

Scottie Barnes led Toronto with 24 points, but the Raptors were unable to halt Cleveland’s momentum.

The second-round series between Detroit and Cleveland is set to begin Tuesday, with both teams carrying momentum from dramatic Game 7 comebacks.
