Jakarta. Chairman of the National Democratic (Nasdem) Party's Central Executive Board, Willy Aditya, pledges to honor the Constitutional Court's decision on the 2024 presidential election dispute involving Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mohammad Mahfud MD.

"We respect whatever decision the court makes," Willy said at the Nasdem Tower in Jakarta on Monday.

Willy highlighted Nasdem's collaboration with Anies, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and the National Awakening Party (PKB) in contesting the presidential election outcome. He mentioned Nasdem's delegation joining Anies-Cak Imin's legal team, including Secretary-General Hermawi Taslim and Chairman of the Central Executive Board Taufik Basari.

Accusations have arisen from both Anies and Ganjar, alleging that election winner Prabowo Subianto gained an unfair advantage with implicit support from President Joko Widodo's administration. Prabowo, who secured 58 percent of the vote, selected the president's son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as his running mate.

Rivals contend that the government bolstered social aid distribution before the Feb. 14 polls to sway voters and utilized law enforcement and other state entities to influence voters in Prabowo's favor. Questions have been raised regarding the legitimacy of Gibran's candidacy as Prabowo's running mate.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati vehemently rejected the allegations. She said the social aid program was included in the state budget approved by the government and the House of Representatives on Oct. 16, 2023, before the announcement of presidential candidates by the General Election Commission.

"The formulation of the 2024 state budget and its enactment into law was not influenced by considerations of presidential and vice-presidential candidates,” Sri Mulyani asserted.

The Constitutional Court will unveil its decision on the 2024 Presidential Election dispute on April 22. From April 16, the court will convene a judge's deliberation meeting to discuss, draft, and finalize the decision regarding the dispute.
