Jakarta. The General Election Commission (KPU) has temporarily suspended the display of the recapitulation (Sirekap) graph on its website due to a high level of misinterpretation caused by discrepancies in data related to polling stations (TPS).

The latest national recapitulation on the Sirekap application reveals that 78.10 percent of the 2024 presidential election results have been processed from over 820,000 TPS. Prabowo Subianto leads with 58.82 percent of the votes, equivalent to 75 million votes. Anies Muhaimin secures 24.49 percent or 31 million votes, while Ganjar Pranowo garners 16.68 percent or 21 million votes.

According to KPU member Idham Holik, KPU is now focused on displaying authentic evidence of vote tallies, specifically the C1-Plano Form or the physical record of the 2024 Election vote count. This shift aims to provide accurate information accessible on the official website https://pemilu2024.kpu.go.id.

The C1-Plano Form, read by the Sub-district Election Committee (PPK) during the vote tally at each polling station, is transcribed into the Annex to the Model D Form. However, technical glitches in the Sirekap system led to discrepancies between the scanned results and the C1-Plano Model.

KPU is currently conducting provincial-level recapitulations from Feb. 19 to March 10.

Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, welcomed KPU's decision to close the display of the vote recap on the official election website. Muzani clarified that Sirekap is a temporary vote-counting tool and not the primary reference for KPU in determining the 2024 Election results.

"If it is closed, it's okay. That's good because it is not a reference for the election results," Muzani said on Thursday. He mentioned that the Sirekap data display had caused controversy due to perceived accuracy issues.

Muzani said that the closure of Sirekap is not an issue, considering that KPU is also conducting a manual recapitulation, which will be the main reference for the 2024 Election results.

In response to concerns about Sirekap's reliability, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin clarified that Sirekap does not show official results for the 2024 Election. He affirmed that official results would be announced by KPU through formal channels.

Regarding objections to the election results, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin mentioned established mechanisms for filing complaints, such as through the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) and the Constitutional Court (MK).
