Fire Claims Seven Lives in South Jakarta Frame Store
Jakarta. South Jakarta firefighters successfully evacuated seven bodies of fire victims from a frame store on Mampang Prapatan Raya Street, South Jakarta, on Friday.
The bodies were evacuated at 07:15 a.m. local time. The evacuation process took approximately 40 minutes from the second floor of the building. All the bodies were then taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital (RS Polri Kramat Jati) in East Jakarta.
The fire incident occurred at the Saudara Frame & Gallery store on Thursday night, around 7:40 p.m. local time. Investigators suspect that the fire was triggered by an exploding compressor used for painting.
The combustible nature of the materials facilitated the rapid spread of the fire.
Identification procedures will be conducted as one body remains unidentified. The deceased victims are identified as follows:

- Heny, aged 39
- Riichi, aged 2
- Ausin, aged 8
- Tia, aged 25
- Sheila, aged 20
- Miss X, aged 18
