Jakarta. Vice President-Elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka recently revealed that the upcoming ministerial cabinet was still in discussions despite his inauguration drawing nearer.

Gibran alongside President-Elect Prabowo Subianto are set to take their oath of office this October. Gibran, who had just resigned from his Solo mayoral post, said he would pick the best people in the cabinet’s “strategic positions”. The 36-year-old politician did not go into details about which ministerial posts he considered strategic.

“We have not decided [on the ministers yet]. We are still discussing the cabinet makeup. We are looking for the best people out there to fill in the strategic positions,” Gibran said in Solo on Wednesday.

Gibran also appeared to be somewhat relaxed in deciding the cabinet makeup, saying that he still has three months before he officially becomes the vice president. Gibran added: “Well, there is still much time. Just wait."
