Anies Says It's Too Early to Comment on Quick Count
Jakarta. Presidential candidate Anies Baswedan said Wednesday that it was too early to comment on the quick count of the votes which put his rival Prabowo Subianto on a massive lead.
“This [quick count] is something temporary. So let's not comment. Let’s just wait until the final results,” Anies told reporters in his supporters’ camp in Jakarta.
According to Anies, what is of utmost importance is to make sure that there is no election fraud.
Anies added: “I’m telling everyone to keep an eye on the voting stations.”
“Let’s just wait until they finish counting all of the votes. From there, we will see,” Anies, whose running mate is Muhaimin Iskandar, said.
The quick tallies of the votes made by 7 pollsters showed that Prabowo was on the lead with Anies coming in second place as of 6.51 p.m.
Lembaga Survei Indonesia poll revealed that Prabowo has secured 57.36 percent of the votes, while Anies stood at 25.41 percent.
Poltracking Indonesia’s tally showed Prabowo claiming a landslide victory at 59.18 percent, followed by Anies at 24.47 percent.
Cyrus Network reported that Prabowo secured 58.23 percent of the votes, while Anies recorded 24.95 percent.
Indikator’s tally put Prabowo at 57.88 percent, while Anies’s stood at 25.66 percent.
Prabowo is also leading on Voxpol Center’s tally with 57.46 percent of the votes, while Anies claimed 26.28 percent.
According to Populi Center’s preliminary results, Anies secured 25.26 percent of the votes, falling behind Prabowo who is at 59.32 percent.
On Lingkaran Survei Indonesia’s poll, Prabowo earned 58.26 percent of the votes, while Anies recorded 25.12 percent.
Ganjar secured between 15 and 17 percent of the votes across all of the said quick counts.
