Tesla Cybertruck in Indonesia Sells for Three Times US Price
Jakarta. The first Tesla Cybertruck sold in Indonesia fetched over Rp 5 billion (approximately $320,000), three times its market price in the United States, where it typically retails for around $100,000. The electric pickup truck was imported by Glamor Auto Boutique, which revealed the vehicle was brought in specifically for a customer order.
Sigit Tedi, Sales Manager at Glamor Auto Boutique, explained that the Tesla Cybertruck was not imported on a speculative basis but rather to fulfill a specific customer request. "It was already sold before it arrived. We received a request to bring in the Cybertruck to Indonesia, so we arranged the import. It was by order," Sigit said.
The Tesla Cybertruck, sold for over Rp 5 billion on the road (OTR) in Jakarta, represents a significant premium over its US pricing. Despite the hefty price tag, the process of importing the vehicle to Indonesia was relatively smooth, with delivery taking about three to four months.
"The order took about three months from the time the customer placed it to delivery. So if you order from Glamor, the wait time to bring it to Indonesia is around 3-4 months," Sigit added. He also noted that the paperwork for the vehicle was processed quickly, taking around three months.
The Tesla Cybertruck imported by Glamor Auto Boutique is the Dual Motor Foundation Series variant, featuring dual electric motors at the front and rear for an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. The electric pickup boasts a power output of 593 horsepower and 711 Nm of torque, distributed to all wheels through a single-speed transmission. The Cybertruck accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
In terms of dimensions, the Tesla Cybertruck measures 5,682 mm in length, 2,032 mm in width, and 1,740 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,634 mm. The vehicle offers a combined driving range of approximately 500 kilometers.
