New York. Sean "Diddy" Combs faces federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges in an indictment unsealed Tuesday, which alleges that he abused women for over a decade and ran a disturbing empire of sexual crimes.

The indictment accuses Combs of engaging in a “persistent and pervasive pattern of abuse” toward women and other individuals, detailing allegations dating back to 2008. It claims he coerced women into drugged, sometimes days-long sexual performances referred to as “Freak Offs,” and mentions a video-recorded attack on his former girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie.

Combs was arrested late Monday in Manhattan, about six months after federal authorities raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami as part of a sex trafficking investigation. He is set to appear in court Tuesday to face the charges.

Over the past year, Combs has faced several lawsuits alleging physical and sexual abuse. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that Combs would plead not guilty and “fight like hell” for his release. Agnifilo described Combs as “confident” and in good spirits.

The indictment portrays Combs, 54, as the head of a criminal enterprise involved in sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate prostitution, drug offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice. It alleges he physically assaulted women, used his staff to cover up his actions, and wielded his influence to lure and control women.

Combs is accused of orchestrating elaborate sexual performances, providing drugs, controlling the careers of his victims, and using intimidation. These events reportedly required IV fluids to recover from the physical and drug-induced strain. Law enforcement seized narcotics, over a thousand bottles of baby oil and lubricant, firearms, and ammunition during the raids.

The indictment also claims Combs kept videos of his victims to use as “collateral” for their compliance and exerted control over them by offering and withholding career opportunities and financial support.

Combs' arrest comes amid a backdrop of multiple allegations and legal battles. In November, Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of years of abuse. The suit was settled in a day, but footage later emerged showing Combs physically attacking her. The indictment alludes to this incident and claims Combs attempted to bribe a hotel security staffer to keep silent.

Combs and his attorneys deny the allegations and have previously faced legal issues, including a 2001 acquittal related to a nightclub shooting.
