Influencer Expelled from Luxurious Villa in Bali Over Instant Noodles
Bali. Rachel Vennya, an influencer, was kicked out of a fancy Bali villa she rented for Rp 25 million ($1,589) per night because of instant noodles. But now, things are settled. The villa owner apologized and gave back all the money, over Rp 100 million, after her video got lots of views.
Rachel Vennya shared this update on her Instagram story, where she uploaded a conversation with the villa owner, who is a foreign national. The mother of two was pleasantly surprised to receive a 100 percent refund notification, totaling more than Rp 100 million. This refund covered her three-night booking, including breakfast, and a penalty for bringing outside food.
"Just now the funds suddenly got refunded, and it was returned 100 percent," said Rachel Vennya, quoted from her Instagram story on Saturday.
According to Rachel, the issue was not about the money spent, but the response from the villa's owner. She urged the owner to avoid treating guests rudely. Additionally, there was a lack of information regarding the regulations for guests renting the luxury villa.
"It's not about the money, but more about their response. However, the villa has also apologized," Rachel expressed.
Rachel Vennya shared her unpleasant experience during her vacation in Bali in October. She stayed at a luxury villa but was expelled due to bringing instant noodles and some other outside food.
Upon arrival at the villa she had booked, everything seemed fine, with no specific warnings about rules for guests. As she had chosen a private villa with a mini kitchen, she thought she could cook freely.
Before the incident, when the staff offered breakfast at an additional cost of Rp 200,000 per person, but Rachel preferred to prepare her own instant noodles. Eventually, the villa staff reprimanded and expelled her.
