Comedian Babe Cabita Passed Away at 34

Jakarta. Comedian Priya Prayogha Pratama, fondly known as Babe Cabita, passed away at Mayapada Hospital in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Tuesday. Before his demise, Babe Cabita penned a heartfelt message on his social media account.

Expressing remorse for any past missteps during his tenure in the entertainment industry, Babe Cabita requested forgiveness.

"Assalamualaikum, on this auspicious Friday and as we are on the brink of entering the month of Ramadan. I, Babe Cabita/Yoga, humbly seek forgiveness from all who come across this message," wrote Babe Cabita on his Instagram account, as quoted on Tuesday.

"If I have erred, caused hurt through content that may have offended, or contributed to discomfort, negativity, or engaged in inadequate communication through DMs (direct messages), I offer my sincere apologies and hope for your forgiveness," he added.

The announcement of Babe Cabita's passing was made by actor Oki Rengga Winata via a post on his Instagram account @okirengga33.

Before his passing, Babe Cabita had battled dengue fever in September 2023. However, after his recovery from dengue fever, doctors diagnosed him with aplastic anemia, following a decline in his platelet count.

Babe Cabita was born on June 5, 1989, in Medan, North Sumatra.

In 2017, he married Zulfiati Indraloka, and together, they were blessed with two children. Babe Cabita's foray into the entertainment industry started in 2013 when he ventured into stand-up comedy. His talent flourished during his participation in Stand Up Comedy Indonesia Season Three (2013), broadcasted on Kompas TV, where he emerged as the winner.

Some of his noteworthy film appearances include "Comic 8" (2014 & 2018), "Pizza Man" (2015), "Get Up Stand Up" (2016), "The Underdogs" (2017), and "Trinity Traveler" (2019).
