All eL Run Participants Complete 7-Km Distance
Bandung. Hundreds of participants in the 2024 eL Run successfully completed the seven-kilometer distance, receiving medals of recognition at the annual event held in Bandung on Sunday morning.
The organizers reported that around 800 runners -- men and women, young and old -- took part in the event, crossing the finish line at eL Hotel Bandung in under one hour.
“We jogged around the beautiful city of Bandung, where I have fond memories,” Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said. “I was born in Bandung and spent my school years here, so I really enjoyed jogging 7 kilometers in the cool morning air near memorable spots in the city.”
Agus paused for a moment at the State Junior High School 5, which he had attended as a teenager, to recollect memories of his younger years.
Most participants enjoyed the fun run as a leisure activity with no pressure of competition. "This is my first time participating in eL Run, and I really enjoyed it. The views along the route are great, and I completed the distance," a participant named Mayer said. “I hope eL Run is held regularly every year.”
Hosted by eL Hotel Bandung, the event offered plenty of prizes, including cash, electronic gadgets, and a motorcycle for lucky runners.
