Jakarta. King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, visited Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 (PIK2), a superblock development by Agung Sedayu Group, on Saturday. His Majesty met with the Chairman of Agung Sedayu Group, Sugianto Kusuma.

Bhutan is currently developing a new city called Gelephu Mindfulness City, located in Sarpang District in southern Bhutan.

"The visit by the King of Bhutan aimed to understand the development strategies of PIK2, The New Jakarta City, which includes a master plan encompassing tourism, business, infrastructure, facilities, and residential areas," said Alexander Halim Kusuma, Vice President Director of property developer Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua, in a statement on Thursday.

Agung Sedayu Group was honored to receive a visit from the King of Bhutan to exchange insights on area development.

"This visit focused on sharing insights on urban development and emphasized the concept of sustainable living both in Bhutan and PIK2," Alexander added.

He expressed hope that the King’s visit would provide ideas and strategies for development in Bhutan.

"I hope this visit will be useful and can bring ideas and strategies from what has been done in PIK2, which will be beneficial for the Kingdom of Bhutan," he said.

During the visit, the King of Bhutan posed for a photo with the iconic Soekarno-Hatta monument in the background.

"The monument symbolizes the spirit of collaboration and a shared vision for future development," Alexander Halim Kusuma added.

Agung Sedayu Group also presented their masterpiece, PIK2, and held discussions with His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.

Sugianto Kusuma and the board of directors explored several key areas of PIK2, including Golf Island and the Central Business District (CBD) of PIK2.
