Land Bank Agency Signs MoU with J Trust to Facilitate Japanese Investors in Nusantara
Jakarta. The Land Bank Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday with Bank J Trust Indonesia and J Trust Consulting Indonesia to utilize the agency’s land in North Penajam Paser Regency, where the future national capital, Nusantara, is being constructed.
Under the MoU, J Trust Consulting Indonesia is appointed as the Land Bank Agency’s exclusive partner to introduce and manage Japanese investors who will invest in the regency in East Kalimantan. J Trust Bank will provide financial assistance for these investors.
“It is our hope that Japan will become a key investment partner of Indonesia, particularly concerning the Land Bank Agency’s land concessions,” agency head Parman Nataatmadja said in a statement.
“This aligns with our efforts to create inclusive partnerships that bring greater economic benefits to the Indonesian people, especially those living in and around our land concession areas,” Parman added.
The agency, which controls 18,758 hectares of land across the country, currently offers concessions for developing the Penajam Eco City in North Penajam Paser.
The eco-city concept will feature a significant portion of green areas and is designed to be energy efficient.
“We aim to ensure a fair land system and economic prosperity in the regency, but we cannot do it alone. We are teaming up with J Trust Consulting Indonesia and J Trust Bank to attract Japanese investors for future investments, create new jobs, and set the standard for economic growth in Indonesia,” Parman said.
J Trust Consulting Indonesia CEO Takeshi Ikeda said the company’s Indonesian operations provide consulting services for business matching and marketing, utilizing J Trust Group’s extensive knowledge and experience.
“The MoU with the Land Bank Agency allows us to contribute to the Indonesian economy and support the development of the National Capital Nusantara while facilitating business programs and activities by Japanese investors,” Ikeda said.
J Trust Bank Business Development Director Widjaja Hendra expressed gratitude to the Land Bank Agency for the opportunity to participate in the Penajam Eco City project.
“J Trust Bank is committed to actively participating in local businesses, enabling Japanese entrepreneurs to seize business opportunities in Indonesia,” Widjaja said.
