Investor Daily Clinches Two Medals in Debut at Print Media Awards
Jakarta. Investor Daily, the renowned business newspaper, has made an impressive debut at the Indonesia Print Media Awards (IPMA), securing two medals for its striking cover pages.
The newspaper earned a bronze medal for its July 20, 2023 cover featuring captivating infographics detailing Indonesia’s thriving digital economy. Additionally, it claimed a silver medal for the June 5, 2023 frontpage depicting the adoption of artificial intelligence in financial markets.
"Investor Daily debuted the awards gala by sending five selected covers from previous editions and netted bronze and silver medals," Chief Editor Djaka Susila said on the sidelines of the award ceremony in Jakarta on Tuesday evening.
Despite the hurdles and increasing challenges facing the print media industry, Investor Daily remains committed to innovation and quality journalism, he added.
"We stick to our ‘good journalism’ principles and innovate with visually appealing cover presentations featuring infographics, which allow our readers to engage with our content seamlessly. We will continue to explore new ways to deliver excellence to our readers," Djaka said.
Investor Daily is a product of B-Universe Media Holdings, a multiplatform media conglomerate that includes BTV news and entertainment network, the national news website Beritasatu.com, the online business media Investor.id, the markets magazine Majalah Investor, and the Jakarta Globe.
B-Universe recently relocated its headquarters to Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 in Tangerang, Banten province, adjacent to the upscale Tokyo Riverside Apartment complex.
The award ceremony, organized by the Association of Media Companies (SPS), also recognized achievements in publications from universities and entities beyond traditional media companies, under the theme “Healthy Media, Strong Democracy”.
The 15th edition of the gala featured various categories, including the Indonesia In-House Magazine Awards, the Indonesia Young Readers Awards (IYRA), the Indonesia Students Media Awards (ISMA), and the Indonesia Digital Media Awards (IDMA).
SPS Chairman Januar Ruswita said the gala attracted more than 700 entries in various categories. They were carefully examined and selected by a jury of experts in graphic design, media branding, the multimedia sector, social media engagement, journalistic photography, advertising, and mass communication.
Growing enthusiasm among participants "indicated the enduring strength of print media, the continued popularity of campus publications among students, and the expanding reach of news websites,” Januar said.
