Jakarta. Indonesia's tax revenue is estimated to have grown by more than 23% year-on-year to Rp 1,217.7 trillion ($68 billion) in the January-July period, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said on Tuesday.

The estimated collection represents nearly 52% of the government's full-year tax revenue target of Rp 2,357.7 trillion.

Purbaya said the government had yet to release the official July figure because the final calculation was still being completed.

Despite maintaining strong year-on-year growth, tax collections appear to have lost some momentum in July compared with the previous month.

Indonesia collected Rp 1,035.7 trillion in tax revenue during the first half of 2026, an increase of 24.6% from the same period last year.

Based on the January-July estimate, tax collections in July alone amounted to approximately Rp 182 trillion, down from Rp 201.3 trillion in June.

During the first half, the strongest growth came from value-added tax (VAT) and luxury goods sales tax, which together generated Rp 380 trillion, surging 42.2% year-on-year.

Corporate income tax revenue reached Rp 196.1 trillion, up 28.6%, while personal income tax collections increased 13.6% to Rp 146 trillion.
