IIF Announces $18.6m Financing for Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Operator
Jakarta. Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF), an infrastructure financing firm, recently announced a cash deficiency support facility worth Rp 300 billion -- approximately $18.6 million -- for toll operator Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (CCT).
The money is expected to enable CCT to meet its initial capital needs for the toll road operations until the traffic volume reaches an optimum level. IIF’s president director Reynaldi Hermansjah said that the company was optimistic about CCT’s business prospects.
“The Cimanggis-Cibitung toll road is one of the national strategic projects that will bring significant economic benefits to the people. We believe that the CCT is the right partner to work with in this project,” Reynaldi was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.
CCT is the owner of the 26,184-kilometer-long Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road concession. The toll road began operating commercially in November 2020 with the 3.17-kilometer-long 1A section (Cimanggis-Jatikarya). CCT started to operate the 3.36-kilometer-long 2A Section (Jatikarya-Cikeas) last April. The commercial operations of the 2B Section (Cikeas-Cibitung), which spans 19.65 kilometers, are expected to start by the middle of this year. The Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road is part of the 110.8-kilometer-long Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) II.
