ID Food Accelerates Distribution of Chicken Meat and Eggs Under Anti-Stunting Program
Jakarta. State-owned food distribution company Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia, also known as ID Food, is accelerating deliveries of chicken meat and eggs as part of the government’s fight against stunting.
Currently, only 17 percent of the 1.4 million families eligible for the program have received the assistance.
The program aims to reduce the stunting rate and reach 100 percent of beneficiaries in seven provinces by November, ID Food CEO Sis Apik Wijayanto said during a visit to the B-Universe Media Holdings office in Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, Tangerang, on Monday.
"Our target is to deliver chicken meat and eggs to all 1.4 million families by November," Sis said.
Launched in March, the food aid program is funded by the National Food Agency (Bapanas) and the State-Owned Enterprise Minister.
"The cash on hand is enough to finance the program, so we are confident in accomplishing the distribution of chicken meat and eggs on time," Sis added.
B-Universe Executive Chairman Enggartiasto Lukita noted that ID Food will play a key role in executing the Food and Nutrition Program under the future government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
The pair has promised free meals for children and expectant mothers to combat stunting.
"We believe that with full government support, the program can be immediately implemented after the presidential election," Enggartiasto said.
"ID Food holds a big responsibility, and I believe that Sis Apik, with his experience and proven background, will be able to accomplish the mission," he added.
