Jakarta. The gold price of state miner Aneka Tambang (Antam) surged sharply on Friday, rising Rp 42,000 to Rp 2,305,000 ($138.80) per gram, according to data from Logam Mulia.

A day earlier, the price slipped by Rp 4,000 to Rp 2,263,000 per gram. Antam’s all-time high stood at Rp 2,487,000 per gram, recorded on Oct. 21, 2025.

Meanwhile, Antam’s buyback price, the rate at which the company repurchases gold, also jumped from Rp 42,000 to Rp 2,170,000 per gram.

Under Finance Ministry Regulation No. 34/PMK.10/2017, gold sales are subject to a 0.45 percent income tax (PPh 22) for holders of a tax identification number (NPWP) and 0.9 percent for those without. Gold buybacks above Rp 10 million are taxed at 1.5 percent for NPWP holders and 3 percent for non-holders.

Globally, the gold price climbed to $4,011.69 per ounce as of 10:31 p.m. New York time on Oct. 30, up $24.94 or 0.63 percent, according to goldprice.org
