Friday Kickoff: JCI Up 28 Points to 8,099, Eyes on BRMS, ASLI, TFAS, SULI
Jakarta. Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) started Friday’s session in positive territory, climbing 28 points or 0.34 percent to 8,099, with a trading range of 8,089–8,111.
Market turnover reached Rp 1.7 trillion ($102.3 million) on 2.8 billion shares exchanged across 197,395 transactions. Of total listed stocks, 220 advanced, 224 declined, and 189 remained flat.
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) reported unusual trading activity in four stocks: miner Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS), construction company Asri Karya Lestari (ASLI), telecom company Telefast Indonesia (TFAS), and forestry company SLJ Global (SULI). BEI advised investors to closely monitor company disclosures, review pending corporate actions that have yet to secure shareholder approval, and carefully weigh potential risks before making investment decisions.
Global markets showed mixed signals Thursday. U.S. stocks hit fresh records as technology shares rose, despite the looming government shutdown.
The S&P 500 added 0.1 percent, the Dow Jones climbed 79 points (0.2 percent), and the Nasdaq rose 0.4%. Chip and AI stocks led gains after OpenAI announced partnerships with South Korean firms for the $500 billion Stargate project.
In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei rose 106 points (0.23 percent) to 45,042 while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng slipped 66 points (0.24 percent) to 27,221.
