Former Asabri CEO Appointed as Bulog Chief
Jakarta. Wahyu Suparyono, the former CEO of the state insurer Asabri, has been appointed as the new head of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog), which is instrumental in the government’s food security push.
He will replace Bayu Krisnamurthi who has led Bulog since December last year.
“Bulog President Director Bayu Krisnamurthi and Human Capital Director Purnomo Sinar Hadi have concluded their dedication at Bulog based on a decree by State-Owned Enterprise Minister [Erick Thohir],” the agency said in a statement on Tuesday.
The ministerial decree also appoints retired army officer Marga Taufiq, an advisor of the defense minister, as deputy CEO at Bulog, and sociology professor Sudarsono Hardjosoekarto as the new human capital director.
The decree doesn’t mention when the transfer of leadership will occur.
