Jakarta. Chairman of B-Universe Media Holdings, Enggartiasto Lukita, acknowledged that during President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's nine-year leadership, Indonesia has evolved into a prominent and globally recognized nation.

"In various aspects over the past nine years, Indonesia has witnessed remarkable growth in terms of economic development, pandemic management, inflation control, and credit expansion," he said during the opening ceremony of the BNI Investor Daily Summit (IDS) 2023, held at Hutan Kota by Plataran, Senayan, Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to Enggartiasto, Indonesia's economic advancement can be seen in the country's extensive infrastructure development which has enhanced the quality of life for its citizens. Furthermore, the construction of dams and irrigation reservoirs has provided crucial support for agricultural production.

"These progressions have solidly established Indonesia as a nation that has accomplished remarkable achievements on a global level," the former trade minister said.

In the tourism sector, Jokowi has successfully elevated Indonesia's security standards to match those of several major cities in Europe.

"The people of Indonesia should be grateful to President Jokowi," he added.

During the event, President Jokowi and Enggartiasto Lukita stood out in their green and blue batik attire, symbolizing Indonesia's commitment to green development and carbon emission reduction.

"The blue and green Megamendung Cirebon batik pattern represents a fusion of cultures, harking back to Cirebon's historical role as a port city. The light blue signifies clear skies, while the dark blue alludes to cloud-filled skies brimming with nourishing rainwater," he said.

President Jokowi, accompanied by Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono, Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas, BNI CEO Royke Tumilaar, and Enggartiasto officially opened the BNI Investor Daily Summit 2023 by striking a digital gong placed on the stage. Around 3,000 participants including representatives of 500 national and international companies and institutions, attended Indonesia's largest investment forum.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the BNI Investor Daily Summit 2023 boosts investor confidence and promotes investment in Indonesia.

"This event is excellent, as it encourages investment and instills confidence in investors regarding Indonesia. Without events like this, investments, both domestic and foreign, wouldn't be adequately stimulated. Events like this should be more frequent," said Jokowi in his opening remarks.

In his address, Jokowi said that Indonesia's growth remains above 5 percent despite global economic uncertainties.

"We must be thankful that our growth is still above 5 percent. Additionally, if we look at the state of currency depreciation, it remains safe for the real sector, finance, and inflation," said Jokowi.

In this event, B-Universe once again collaborated with PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) for the second time to organize the BNI Investor Daily Summit (IDS) 2023 "Sustainable Growth Global Challenges." The event aims to foster optimism amid the prevailing uncertainty.

"Together with BNI, we take pride in contributing to the economy. BNI, as a corporation, is gaining brand recognition as one of the oldest and largest banks in the republic, becoming increasingly trusted this year," Enggartiasto said.
