Astra Agrees Rp 25.9t in Dividend Payout
Jakarta. Indonesian conglomerate Astra International will pay shareholders Rp 25.9 trillion ($1.73 billion) in dividends or Rp 640 per share taken from last year’s profit.
The group has reported a net profit of Rp 28.94 trillion for the 2022 fiscal year.
The annual shareholders’ meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday also agreed on a budget of Rp 24 trillion for capital expenditure and another Rp 15 trillion for new investments.
Astra CEO Djony Bunarto Tjondro said the planned capital expenditure is a sharp increase from the prep-pandemic level, which was valued at Rp 14.3 trillion in 2019.
"The surge in capital expenditure reflects how Astra Group responds to the transition from the pandemic to endemic and demonstrates our confidence in the Indonesian economy,” Djony said during the meeting in Jakarta.
The members of Astra’s board of directors include Djony Bunarto Tjondro (president), Johannes Loman, Suparno Djasmin, Chiew Sin Cheok, Gidion Hasan, Henry Tanoto, Santosa, Gita Tiffani Boer, FXL Kesuma, and Hamdani Dzulkarnaen Salim.
