Jakarta. Indonesian conglomerate Astra International will pay shareholders Rp 25.9 trillion ($1.73 billion) in dividends or Rp 640 per share taken from last year’s profit.

The group has reported a net profit of Rp 28.94 trillion for the 2022 fiscal year.

The annual shareholders’ meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday also agreed on a budget of Rp 24 trillion for capital expenditure and another Rp 15 trillion for new investments.

Astra CEO Djony Bunarto Tjondro said the planned capital expenditure is a sharp increase from the prep-pandemic level, which was valued at Rp 14.3 trillion in 2019.
