Jakarta. The price of Antam’s gold bullion climbed by Rp 27,000 per gram on Thursday, rebounding from the previous day’s decline as global gold prices strengthened on renewed investor demand for safe-haven assets.

According to data from Logam Mulia Antam, gold is now sold at Rp 2,287 million ($136.88) per gram, up from Rp 2,260 million a day earlier. The buyback price also rose by Rp 27,000 to Rp 2,152 million per gram.

Antam’s price increase comes after the metal fell Rp 26,000 on Wednesday, following its all-time high (ATH) of Rp 2,487 million per gram recorded on Tuesday.

On the global market, gold rose more than 1 percent on Wednesday as stronger-than-expected US private employment data pushed investors toward safer assets.

Data from goldprice.org showed gold trading at $3,988.51 per ounce, up 0.96 percent or about 37.83 points as of 10:37 a.m. New York time on Nov. 5.

Meanwhile, US equities retreated from record highs on concerns over stretched valuations and the potential of an AI-driven market bubble. The Federal Reserve cut its benchmark rate last week, with Chair Jerome Powell signaling it might be the last reduction this year.

Gold, a non-yielding asset, typically benefits from lower interest rates and global uncertainty. Market focus also turned to the US Supreme Court hearing on the legality of tariffs imposed by former President Donald Trump, after a federal court previously ruled the policy exceeded executive authority.
