24 Companies Aim for IPO
Jakarta. Since the beginning of this month, at least 24 companies have registered for an initial public offering (IPO) at the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
These include three companies with assets below Rp 50 billion, 17 companies valued between Rp 50 billion and Rp 250 billion, and four others with assets above Rp 250 billion, according to IDX data.
The companies represent diverse sectors, including consumer products, technology, infrastructure, and property.
I Gede Nyoman Yetna, IDX’s director of corporate assessment, said the exchange is in talks with three companies, each having assets of more than Rp 3 trillion, to undergo an IPO.
“Basically, we are encouraging large-scale companies to conduct IPOs,” he said on Thursday.
Earlier this week, three companies were listed as new IDX members after completing their IPOs. These companies are the oil and gas mining firm Multikarya Asia Pasifik Raya (MKAP), the furniture company Harta Djaya Karya (MEJA), and the house appliances distributor company Homeco Victoria Makmur (LIVE).
