Jakarta. Indonesian game developers are ready to showcase their talents and compete with industry giants such as Capcom and Konami at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2024.

Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno expressed hope that Indonesia's participation in TGS 2024 would highlight the potential of the Indonesian gaming industry and promote local developers' games in the international market.

"We aim to achieve a transaction potential of $30 million. Hopefully, this goal can be reached," he said on Wednesday.

The participating developers include Anantarupa Studios (known for Lokapala), Fat Raccoon Games (creators of 10 Days to Die and KidBash: Super Legend), Forge Fun (Red Covenant), Sekuya (Sekuya Multiverse), Vifth Floor (StellaGale, Fireside: Autumn Love Lullaby, Garuda Emblem), Lion Core Studio (Memory: Rewind, Burst Fighter, Masquaradious, Maschinen Dolls), Gambir Studio (Warung Seblak Nusantara, Bubur Ayam Express, Jurit Malam), and Strayflux Studio (As I Began to Dream), as well as animation studio Komodoz and v-tuber content creator DigiKagi.

Tokyo Game Show 2024 is one of the largest video game exhibitions in the world and the biggest in Asia, first held in Japan in 1996, attracting 298,000 visitors from around the globe. The 2024 event will take place from Sept. 26 to 29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

The event will feature numerous world-class game developers, including Capcom, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Konami, Bandai Namco, Sega, Nintendo, and Ubisoft.
