Tangerang. Indonesian energy company Mega Energi Biru Indonesia (MEBI), in collaboration with Huawei Tech Investment, on Saturday launched Indonesia’s first electric vehicle charging facility equipped with liquid-cooling technology and a split-charging system.

Located in Gading Serpong, Tangerang, the station uses Huawei’s FusionCharge technology, marking the country’s first deployment of a liquid-cooled charging system with split-charging implementation. It also represents Huawei’s third global application of FusionCharge.

MEBI President Commissioner Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo said the facility delivers an ultra-fast charging experience, setting a new benchmark for Indonesia’s EV infrastructure.

“With Huawei’s technology, today we inaugurate a charging facility that marks a new milestone in Indonesia’s electric vehicle infrastructure standards. This is no longer ordinary charging, not even fast charging — this is ultra-fast charging,” Rahayu said at the launch event held at the Scientia Garden residential complex.

She added that the combination of split charging and liquid cooling enables high-speed charging, more flexible and efficient power distribution, and optimal temperature stability to ensure performance and safety.

“This is the first of its kind in Indonesia. These innovations allow faster charging, smarter energy management, and improved thermal control,” she said.

Rahayu noted that Indonesia’s push toward vehicle electrification — including its net-zero ambitions and transition away from fossil fuels — depends heavily on ecosystem readiness.

“When infrastructure is built to high standards — fast, safe, and stable — public confidence will grow,” she said.

Jin Song, chief executive of Huawei Indonesia, said Huawei is positioning itself as a leading green-technology provider and is committed to accelerating Indonesia’s energy and mobility infrastructure development.

Through the partnership, Huawei aims to support Indonesia’s target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060, he added.

Designed for performance and ease of use, the facility can deliver driving range of up to one kilometer per second of charging. It also features lighter charging cables, quiet operation, and an intelligent system that adapts to varying weather conditions.

According to MEBI, the station supports all major EV brands, operates across a voltage range of 200V to 1,000V, and is integrated with solar power and energy storage systems — reducing reliance on the main grid while promoting cleaner energy use.
