Indonesia’s ITSEC Asia Enters African Market With Ivory Coast Deal
Jakarta. Indonesian cybersecurity company ITSEC Asia has signed a partnership with Ivorian IT services firm SGCI to provide cybersecurity services to public institutions and critical infrastructure operators in Côte d’Ivoire, marking its first entry into Africa.
Under a memorandum of understanding signed on Monday, ITSEC Asia, through its Singapore-based subsidiary ITSEC Services Asia, will provide cybersecurity technology, technical expertise, training, and support to SGCI’s local teams.
The partnership aims to develop large-scale security operations projects as organizations in the West African country face growing cyber risks amid digitalization and the increasing integration of information technology and industrial control systems.
ITSEC Asia president director Patrick Dannacher said organizations needed continuous cybersecurity monitoring and response capabilities rather than one-off services.
"Organizations in Côte d'Ivoire are being asked to defend increasingly complex environments, and that requires sustained operational capability, not one-off engagements,” Dannacher said in a statement.
He said the partnership would help make advanced cybersecurity services more accessible to Ivorian organizations while supporting ITSEC Asia’s expansion across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.
Under the agreement, SGCI will lead local client engagement and project delivery, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in Côte d’Ivoire. Its services include information systems audits, system integration, penetration testing and digital forensics.
ITSEC Asia will provide cybersecurity solutions and operational expertise, including security operations center services, managed detection and response, threat intelligence, operational technology and industrial control system security assessments, and training. The partnership will also offer ITSEC Asia’s IntelliBroń Orion platform through SGCI.
SGCI managing director Cyrille Koffi said the partnership would combine local operations and regulatory knowledge with ITSEC Asia’s technology capabilities.
“Public institutions and critical infrastructure operators in Côte d'Ivoire need cybersecurity that is operated continuously, locally, and in compliance with national regulation,” Koffi said.
He said the companies intended to develop locally hosted and operated cybersecurity services, starting with national-level projects.
The partnership represents a new market for ITSEC Asia as it pursues international expansion, while SGCI will contribute its local presence, engineering capabilities and experience serving clients in Côte d’Ivoire.
The agreement comes as ITSEC Asia reports stronger financial performance, with operating profit surging 1,171% year-on-year to Rp 23.01 billion ($1.4 million) in the second quarter of 2026. Revenue rose 21% to Rp 115.03 billion over the same period.
Based on the company’s January-June financial statements, ITSEC Asia’s pretax profit reached Rp 22.69 billion, up 1,407% from Rp 1.51 billion a year earlier. Its operating margin also increased to 20% from 1.9%.
The company’s balance sheet strengthened as well, with total assets reaching Rp 485.4 billion as of June 30, up from Rp 416.5 billion at the end of December 2025. Equity rose to Rp 312.4 billion.
