PTPP Vows Good Governance to Maintain Trust Among Investors
Jakarta. State construction firm PTPP said Sunday that the company would remain committed to improving its governance, transparency, and integrity in every project that it undertakes.
This is part of the company's strategy to sustain the trust among investors, business partners, or the public. According to PTPP's corporate secretary Joko Raharjo, the company has what it calls the Integrated Project Management System (IPMS) that enables a more transparent, digital-based project and financial monitoring. The company can also keep an eye on the projects' progress across Indonesia in real time. This innovation is key to maintaining the efficiency, quality, and accountability of every project.
"Strong governance is key to business sustainability. We want to make sure that every rupiah managed by the company reflects professionalism and high integrity," Joko was quoted as saying in a press statement.
The company will also continue to strengthen its audit, risk management, and digital reporting systems to increase the company's credibility. The efforts are not only limited to improvements of internal systems and structures. To expand compliance culture, PTPP has implemented integrity training, a whistleblowing system, and regular evaluations of compliance policies across all subsidiaries.
To keep financial performance in check, PTPP adopts a more disciplined cash flow management and a profitability-based portfolio approach when undertaking projects. This is expected to keep the company's financial fundamentals robust amidst the dynamics of the national construction industry.
"Going forward, our focus will not only be on completing major projects, but also on ensuring that each project adds financial and reputational value to the company," Joko said.
PTPP expects this governance transformation to send a positive signal to investors that the company has prepared a long-term foundation for more sustainable and efficient growth. PTPP, now under the wings of the sovereign fund Danantara, vows to be adaptive, transparent, and ready to face changes in the construction business landscape, both at home and abroad, according to Joko.
