OLX Job Fair Integrates Online and Offline Job Search Experiences
Jakarta. The recent two-day OLX Job Fair in Jakarta had integrated online and offline job search experiences, making it easier for the candidates to find the job openings that suit their needs.
The OLX Job Fair, which took place on Oct. 24-25, had hundreds of job openings available from 38 companies. Some of the employers included PT Astra International TBK-Toyota Sales Operation (Auto2000), PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA), Astra Isuzu, BMW Tunas, and PT Pertamina Training and Consulting. Astro and Anteraja were also among the participants.
The OLX digital platform includes services and job openings categories. During the event, job seekers could scan a QR code at each company’s booth, which would immediately direct them to the job posting on the OLX app.
According to Catherine Jennie, the head of marketing at OLX, this method makes it easier for applicants to access complete job descriptions, qualification details, and salary ranges.
"By scanning and viewing job postings on OLX, we build a more seamless bridge between job seekers and employers. Employers can boost their company’s visibility as the candidates can see the jobs on OLX, in addition to the booth,” Jennie was quoted as saying in a press statement.
The candidates can add their desired job postings under the “Favorites” tab. Even if the event had ended, they could still interact online via OLX, Jennie said.
Candidate Eci revealed that she enjoyed her job search experience at OLX. She admitted that the Favorites feature helped her to remember the companies that she learned at the booth.
“This way, I can consider the job opportunities,” Eci said.
The OLX Job Fair also facilitated in-person initial selection. Chiessa, HR of P. Astra International Tbk-Toyota Sales Operation (Auto2000), said that many candidates were eager to join the company.
"We also brought representatives from several branches to make the recruitment process faster and more efficient. Through the OLX Job Fair, candidates could meet directly with users, submit their CVs, and even participate in on-site interviews. This really helped us speed up the selection process and find the best talent," he said.
Job seekers and employers can also better connect by using the chat feature on the OLX platform, either through the app or website.
Approximately 60 percent of job openings are in the blue-collar or technical sector, demonstrating OLX's commitment to supporting various workforce segments.
The Services & Jobs category on OLX is the fourth most popular out of the 10 available categories, just behind cars, motorcycles, and gadgets. In Q3 2025, the average number of monthly active users in this category rose by 55 percent compared to the first quarter.
To use this feature, click on the Services & Jobs category. Select Jobs and choose the desired jobs. Users can then directly use the phone or chat feature to discuss the position. Employers can follow the same step to find the best candidates that best suit their needs.
