Jakarta. Hospitality giant Plataran Indonesia hosted the Intimate Venue Collection exhibition over the weekend -- the perfect stop for wedding organizers as well as lovebirds to look for the best place to tie the knot.

The exhibition -- which took place at Hutan Kota by Plataran in Jakarta-- showcased 15 of the group’s venues on June 21-23.

The Saturday edition focused on wedding venues.

"We have 15 intimate venues to accommodate any type of wedding. Our team can create a theme based on your preferences, whether it's nature, elegance, or heritage," Dewi Makes, the co-founder of Plataran Indonesia, said on Saturday.

As the name suggests, the heritage theme drew inspiration from Javanese culture, while also incorporating elements such as batik-patterned fabrics, wood furniture, as well as local flowers. Plataran Menteng, Plataran Ubud, Plataran Kinandari, Villa Canggu by Plataran, and Plataran Dharmawangsa were the inspiration units.

Plataran designed the nature-themed venue with Plataran Bromo, Plataran Komodo, and Plataran Menjangan in mind. These three are all Plataran Indonesia’s units that are located in national parks. The theme put emphasis on simplicity and natural beauty, while also upholding luxury. Plataran also worked alongside local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on the decorations and furniture.

“We are helping MSMEs because we want to support their products. These MSMEs are owned by Indonesians, and we value their contributions,” Dewi said.

Last but not least was the elegance theme which drew inspiration from Hutan Kota by Plataran, Plataran Gedung Sate, Borobudur, Heritage Borobudur, and Patio units. In this concept, the hotel adopted a “modern and soft approach” to intimate weddings. The white color represents the modern, minimalist values in marriage. The elegance theme concept also embraced Indonesian cultural elements through the use of wicker in the wedding decorations.

The venues shown at the Intimate Venue Collection are also perfect for corporate meetings and community gatherings.
