Jakarta. éL Hotel Group has been touring across Jakarta to set up free health check-up sites for local residents over the past weeks.

The corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of providing health check-ups was also to celebrate éL Hotel Group’s 11th anniversary. éL Hotel Group is also partnering with Intibios, a private network of laboratories.

According to éL Hotel Group’s corporate marketing communication Dhea Alisda, the initiative first began on Jan. 5. The program ended on Wednesday with Melawai as its last stop. Intibios has also deployed professional health workers to help with the program.

“Praise be to God. The 11th [free health check] session marks the last session on éL Hotel Group’s CSR initiative on its 11th-anniversary celebrations,” Dhea told B Universe in Melawai on Wednesday.

According to Dhea, as many as 100 people, many of whom are senior citizens, had signed up to get their health conditions checked at the Melawai site. The check-ups tested their blood pressure, cholesterol, and gouts, among others.

éL Hotel Group also held free health checks in West Kelapa Gading, Cipulir, North Kebayoran Lama, Pela Mampang, and North Cipete.

The initiative received tons of praise from local residents. Melawai local Ira commented on the initiative.

“This is a great step for us all. We are part of a fitness group. Such check-ups let us know more about our health. So we would know if there is anything we need to improve on or check again,” Ira said.

Likewise, fellow local Silvi said that the free health checks were helpful.

“It’s really helpful! Now we know our health conditions,” Silvi said.
