Jakarta. Bank KB Bukopin officially rebranded itself under a new name as KB Bank.

The company also introduced a new logo. The rebranding also does not affect the company’s legal name, which remains PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk.

“We are introducing a new identity that reflects our values, vision, and commitment to providing the best services to our customers. We believe that this name change will further enhance customer trust and strengthen the ‘KB’ brand as a leading, trustworthy, and beloved bank among Indonesians,” KB Bank’s president director Tom “Woo Yeul” Lee said in a recent press release.

The rebranding is also part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its branding. According to the press release, it also seeks to combine “Korea Best” with Indonesian excellence, while also uphold transparency, trust, and integrity in a move to become a reliable partner for banking service solutions. KB Bank is part of South Korea’s largest financial services firm KB Financial Group (KBFG) whose total assets amount to Rp 14,040 trillion.

KBFG holds the controlling shareholder status of KB Bank through KB Kookmin Bank. In 2021, KB Bank embarked on a transformation journey by integrating South Korea and Indonesia’s best banking practices. The adoption of KBFG’s next-generation banking system (NGBS) also represents the group collaboration that aims to spur a sustainable growth.

“We are introducing KB Bank with the tagline ‘Kita Bisa karena Bersama’ [‘we can do it because we are together’. This tagline reflects the company’s commitment to contribute to driving Indonesia’s economy,” Woo Yeul said.
