Jakarta. KB Bank signed a vendor financing partnership with Inka Multi Solusi (IMS) on Monday.

IMS is a subsidiary of the state-owned rolling stock manufacturer INKA. Last year, KB Bank and IMS agreed on a financing facility for train orders, Pertashop, and electric buses. The partnership also encompassed the provision of letters of credit, domestic letters of credit, working capital loans, bank guarantees, and current account loans.

“Our partnership with IMS is a testament to our commitment to grow together with our customers, in line with our tagline: ‘We Can Do It Because We Are Together’). We believe that sustainable growth is only achievable with a solid collaboration and synergy,” KB Bank’s vice president director Robby Mondong was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.

The Indonesian government is currently banking on railway transport, among others, to boost economic growth. This prompted KB Bank to take part in providing financial solutions for the particular sector.

KB Bank so far has launched a series of innovations and financing solutions for the transport industry via a dealer financing scheme for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, electric vehicles, and heavy equipment.

KB Bank is also eyeing to develop innovative financing solutions for other sectors, including agriculture, fisheries, trade, processing services, and so on. Most recently, KB Bank has provided credit financing facilities to sugar cane farmers to help Indonesia build its national food security.
