Investor Daily Wins Award from Taxation Directorate
Jakarta. The Taxation Directorate has recognized the business newspaper Investor Daily as one of the publications actively involved in disseminating information about tax reform.
Taxation Director General Suryo Utomo said on Friday that his office will continue the reform program and collaborate with all stakeholders, including the media, to improve services to taxpayers and ensure transparency.
"In the context of tax reform, we need a partnership with the media and we appreciate their support,” Suryo said during the appreciation gala at the tax headquarters in Jakarta. "We aim to boost transparency in governance so there is nothing to hide between tax officials and taxpayers."
Investor Daily Chief Editor Djaka Susila expressed his pride in the newspaper being recognized as a staunch supporter of tax reform, as reflected in its reporting.
"The media carries the responsibility of disseminating reliable information about key policies such as tax reform that have far-reaching impacts on the public," Djaka said.
He added that media reporting can increase public awareness about the vital role of tax revenues in sustaining the national economy and ensuring the continuation of development programs.
The directorate’s awards were handed out to several print and online publications as well as broadcasters, including Investor Daily, Kompas, DDTC News, Bisnis Indonesia, Tempo, Antara, Pajak.com, SCTV, CNN Indonesia, and Kumparan.
