Jakarta. Heartbreaking drama "Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah 2" ('Tears on the Edge of the Prayer Rug 2') is now playing in Indonesian cinemas following the success of its first film.

The movie brings the audience back to the story of two mothers and a child. Citra Kirana and Faqih Alaydrus reprise their roles as Yumna and Baskara, the mother-son duo who are the center of the film's story.

Aqilla (Titi Kamal) has given up her biological child to grow up with Yumna and her husband, Arief (Fedi Nuril). However, Yumna's life is now put to the ultimate test. In this sequel, her husband falls into a coma, leaving Yumna to struggle alone with the harsh reality.

After Arief's departure, Yumna must face an entirely new life. Previously a housewife, she is now forced to become the family's breadwinner. From managing finances to raising Baskara alone, Yumna continues to struggle amidst the deep grief of losing her husband.

In the midst of her difficulties, Aqilla's arrival once again shakes the world she's just trying to rebuild. Aqilla's arrival in Solo to inquire about Baskara's condition reopens old wounds that haven't fully healed.

Aqilla's return brings Yumna into an even more profound inner dilemma. Amidst her grief and struggle, Yumna continues to be haunted by her greatest fear: losing the child she has raised since infancy. The dilemma continues to plague Yumna, especially when Fathan (Daffa Wardhana), Arief's long-lost younger brother, returns home and expresses sympathy for Aqilla and love for Baskara.

Citra Kirana admitted that playing Yumna this time presented a unique challenge.

"The story in Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah 2 is much more challenging for Yumna. She has to appear strong on the outside, but inside she's broken," Citra said.

Through Yumna, the audience is invited to explore another side of motherhood, when love turns to fear, and a haunting sense of loss tests sincerity.

The conflict between Aqilla and Yumna is once again at the heart of "Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah 2." Two mothers, one child, and equally strong love.
