Jakarta. Enthusiasm soared high on the second day of the 2024 Floriculture Indonesia International (FLOII) Expo which featured a wide range of ornamental plants.

According to 2024 FLOII Expo's Project Manager Della Azkia Surur, the event, which took place at ICE BSD Tangerang, gave people a chance to learn more about ornamental plants. It also seeks to provide a platform for horticulturists and plant enthusiasts to collect unique species.

Some of the plants shown during the exhibition were the monstera variegata, agalonema, sanseviera, and many more. The newly discovered trichoglottis najibii orchid, whih grows in East Kalimantan, was also among the plants that stole the show at the expo.

"FLOII intends to help people collect plants that are hard to find on the market. And we are not only showing all these types of exotic and beautiful ornamental plants. We also want people to learn how to care for their plants," Della said.

The expo also had a talkshow discussing the business potential of Indonesian floriculture. Participants could also learn how to penetrate into the export market. There were also a series of workshops on flower design and ecoprints.

The 2024 FLOII Expo also promoted the so-called Aksara ('Aksi Sehat Bersama'), a campaign dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and clean habits, including among TK Kartika VIII-13 kindergarteners.
