Alfamart Partners with Indosat Business to Boost Store Connectivity
Jakarta. Retail giant Alfamart has partnered with Indosat Business to strengthen digital connectivity across its nationwide store network, as the company seeks to ensure operational efficiency and consistent service quality amid continued expansion.
Operating thousands of outlets across Indonesia, Alfamart faces connectivity challenges, particularly in regions with limited infrastructure, which can disrupt store operations and transaction reliability. To address this, the retailer has implemented Indosat Business’ Managed SD-WAN solution to secure stable internet access across branches, alongside IoT Connectivity to support smoother, faster and more secure point-of-sale transactions.
“The implementation of these solutions has helped us improve operational efficiency across thousands of stores, from better cost management to minimizing transaction downtime,” said Very Abdillah, IT manager at Sumber Alfaria Trijaya. “Ultimately, this has contributed to a better customer experience at our outlets.”
Very said the collaboration also supports Alfamart’s expansion strategy while laying the groundwork for broader technology-driven innovation. “Through this partnership, we see opportunities to maximize the use of technology, including artificial intelligence, to further improve efficiency, drive innovation and strengthen our readiness to face future business challenges,” he said.
Beyond ensuring connectivity at the store level, Alfamart views the partnership with Indosat Business as a platform for developing value-added digital services to support long-term growth. “With Indosat’s digital infrastructure, technologies such as Vision AI can help us build a retail ecosystem that is more efficient, innovative and adaptive to industry dynamics,” Very added.
