ADHI Builds Makassar’s Largest Hospital to Serve Eastern Indonesia
Jakarta. State construction firm Adhi Karya --also known by its ticker symbol ADHI-- has inaugurated Makassar’s largest hospital which the company hoped could serve the people in the eastern part of Indonesia.
The Health Ministry Hospital lies at the Center Point of Indonesia in South Sulawesi’s capital of Makassar. The area of the hospital, which was inaugurated by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, reaches 62,798 square meters. The hospital will serve medical treatment for cancer, heart diseases, and brain diseases -- each has its own respective tower. The hospital complex also has an eight-story podium, a three-story nutrition facility, a three-story wastewater treatment facility, an eight-story parking building, and a one-story utility facility, according to Adhi Karya.
During the inauguration ceremony, Jokowi even admitted that the hospital’s quality was on par with that of a five-star hotel.
“The Health Ministry Hospital comes equipped with 920 beds as well as a wide range of modern medical facilities equipped with new technologies. The ADHI project also comes with a dock and helipad, reflecting the company’s commitment to accessibility and integration with the people’s conditions,” ADHI wrote in its recent press statement.
ADHI also worked on another state-of-the-art facility, namely the Wahidin Sudirohusodo Mother and Children Hospital in Tamalanrea, Makassar. The hospital’s area spans around 43,431.81 square meters and has 8 stories and one semi-basement.
Facilities include a mother and child polyclinic and radiology rooms. There are also rooms for intensive care units (ICU), neonatal intensive care units, pediatric intensive care units, and high care units (108 beds). There are 4 surgery rooms, 154 inpatient beds, an auditorium, an office, and a parking building with a capacity of 167 cars.
“ADHI as a state construction firm is committed to improving the quality of its construction and infrastructure. We also wish to complete the projects on time so they benefit the community. Hopefully, people can easily access quality health services,” ADHI said.
