2026 Inacraft Aims 100,000 Visitors, Seeks to Upgrade MSMEs

Jakarta.  The 2026 Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) is set to return on Feb. 4-8 by aiming 100,000 visitors.

Southeast Asia's largest handicraft exhibition is set to take place in  Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). Its previous event, namely the 26th edition, had just taken place in October. The host Association of Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers (ASEPHI) also remains upbeat that this event can help craft enthusiasts. The 2026 Inacraft, which embraces  is set to be opened by Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming. 

ASEPHI Chairman Muchsin Ridjan emphasized that Inacraft 2026 is not just a promotional space, but a platform for real transactions, targeting Rp 102.5 billion ($6.1 million) in retail transactions and $1.5 million in trade contracts.

"This optimism is based on the trend of economic recovery and the increasing interest of international buyers in products with cultural values ​​and sustainable principles," he said.

Muchsin also highlighted the crucial role of women in this industry, where the majority of craft workers are women.

"They not only create products, but also maintain traditions, manage businesses, and ensure the economic sustainability of their families and communities," he continued.

The technical implementation of the five-day exhibition was meticulously designed to ensure visitor comfort by dividing it into 11 zones for superior products. Inacraft 2026 is fully supported by various parties, including Bank Mandiri as the main sponsor and the Jakarta Provincial Government through Videotron displays at 12 strategic locations.

This exhibition's facilities include security services, a medical team, and even translators for international buyers to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. Participant enthusiasm remains high, as evidenced by the participation of 1,013 booths, including individuals, government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and representatives from 10 friendly countries.

The Plenary Hall will have craft talkshows, workshops, and go green seminars. One of the most anticipated innovations is the Inacraft Awards ceremony, which now includes new categories for digitalization and women's empowerment. This year's exhibition will feature a unique fashion show themed "Outfit of the Day" (OOTD), showcased live by the organizers using exhibitors' craft collections.

Inacraft 2026 is expected to be a momentum for MSMEs to "upgrade" and expand their access to international markets. The exhibition is open to the public from 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Jakarta time, with admission tickets priced at Rp 35,000.

Visitors can register online through the official Inacraft website or purchase tickets on-site.
