Jakarta. The 2024 Astra Half Marathon is ready to take place on November 10.

Hosting this event is Astra Runners, the company’s employee running community. The marathon has picked the theme “Run with Happiness” as it invites people to run full of joy from start until they reach the finish line. 

As many as 5,000 runners are expected to join the running event that will take place in Astra Biz Center BSD Tangerang. 

Astra Half Marathon does not only promote a healthy lifestyle, but the event --which embraces the tagline “We Run, We Share, We Care” also intends to encourage people to care for the planet by reducing single-use plastic. A part of the registration money will go into holding a workshop that teaches its participants how to recycle plastic waste into useful products. The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra foundation will join the workshop. 

“Of course, we hope that this running community will grow. But what is important is that we contribute to the people around us by inviting them to live healthy and care for the environment,” Astra Property’s president director Nilawati Irjani said. 

There are cash prizes totaling Rp 200 million for the marathon winners in two categories: Astra group employees and the general public. People can choose to race in the 5k, 10k, and half marathon categories. 

The following is the price list for the 2024 Astra Half Marathon:

• Early Bird

• 5K - Rp 250,000

• 10K - Rp 300,000

• Half Marathon - Rp 450,000

• Normal Price

• 5K - Rp 350,000

• 10K - Rp 400,000

• Half Marathon - Rp 450,000
